About Me

Jen Doak - Chief SipperIn 2002, Doak opened The Tasting Room, Washington's first cooperative wine tasting cellar in the historic Pike Place Market. A true ambassador, customers would travel near and far for the atmosphere and camaraderie Doak fostered.

Her hard work helped garner regional and international media attention from the likes of Wine Spectator, Wine Enthusiast, Seattle Magazine, Sunset Magazine, The Seattle Times, Food & Wine, Decanter, along with many others.

Doak began her wine career with the Washington Wine Commission, followed by various undertakings including restructuring the Seattle Chapter of Wine Brats and retail stints at Esquin and Pike & Western. Doak's expertise in event planning and customer relations earned her positions assisting local wineries such as Matthews Estate, DeLille Cellars and Hedges Cellars with weekend and special events.

When she isn't working, you'll find her hiking with her golden retriever Malcolm, traveling to far away places, strolling farmers markets, trying new wines, brews & libations at her favorite eatery, or in a home kitchen with friends.
